Using Social Networking to break through the static…

Jumping off of my earlier discovery from eMarketer.com regarding the use of social networking sites among adults, Jupiter Research has just published some research that shows that social networks are particularly attractive to those marketers trying to break through all the “social clutter”.

Here are some interesting statistics:

  • 48% of marketers say that they’ll engage in social networking tactics in the coming year.
  • 38% of marketers said they took advantage of these same tactics last year.

The article continues by saying that the most common tactic includes setting up a MySpace page to promote your brand, but this is not the best solution for ALL brands.
