Live From Podcamp DC

So I’ve finally arrived at Podcamp DC and it’s been an interesting ride thus far. Stopped by the first session and learned a little about how to set up your podcast and then bailed probably a few minutes in to head over to another session where Podcast organizer Christopher Penn was talking about setting up new media to work in marketing. I think that’s my little issue with Podcamp DC…they have a bunch of sessions that I like but often they happen at the same time. What’s going on with that? Sure, it’s an “unconference” and they adhere to the rule of “two feet” where you can get up and leave at any time. But, what if I’m so enamored with a session (like I am right now) but want to head to another session? I feel that I’m rather “jipped” and am forced to pick and choose between two great discussions.

But aside from that, I think Podcamp DC is going well. Everyone once again has their web and digital cameras, laptops, camcorders, and Blackberry/iPhones and is probably posting every single event going on in the sessions. I’m sure that if you want to find out what’s going on, go ahead and check on Twitter for PodcastDC or even on search engines (keyword “podcastdc”) and you’ll find out what’s going on.
